  • Beating obesity can feel impossible. It isn’t a disease most people can overcome through willpower alone. But whether you need to lose 10, 20 or over 100 pounds, Balance Wellness Center can help. We realize that every body is different therefore, this is not a one size fits all program. We use an approach that addresses proper gut health, inflammation and insulin resistance and how that can affect weight. With the proper support from our wellness coach, we make sure wework together to make enough changes enough of the time to make a difference. Through weekly checkins, our coach will help you make the lifestyle changes necessary to not only lose the weight but keep it off…. for good!

  • Phase 1

    During step 1 you will lower your carbohydrate and sugar intake, which encourages your body to use fat for fuel (instead of carbohydrates). To do this, your weight-loss regimen may consist of our scientifically advanced, delicious protein shakes combined with some grocery store foods. This simplifies your weight loss — minimal meal preparation. And don't worry, the meal replacements are only temporary. Once you reach your goal weight, you'll transition to all healthy grocery store food. If meal replacements are not used, your program will consist of all grocery store food with proper meal planning. During this phase you may use natural supplements to help with blood sugar regulation.

    Phase 2

    Once you reach your goal weight or have lost the weight that you want to keep off, you will then continue with our wellness coach to provide accountability and support. During this phase you will gradually return to a diet of all grocery foods, while the protein supplements are slowly phased out. Some people choose to utilize one or two protein supplements daily as a maintenance tool. You will continue to learn strategies to prevent weight regain, and discover the experience of being in control of your own eating habits.

  • Are the meal replacements healthy?

    Absolutely. Our meal replacements are nutritionally complete, and they’re only available to doctors. And because your metabolism will be in a fat-burning state, you’ll efficiently use your fat reserves for energy. Which means that despite eating a limited number of calories and losing weight, you won’t feel hungry because you won't be "craving" food — your energy needs will be met by burning stored fat.

    Will I keep the weight off?

    Of course! Our health coach will discuss your progress and provide you with weight-regain avoidance strategies. Turning these diet, exercise and lifestyle strategies into habits is crucial to maintaining a healthy weight for the rest of your life. Those who continue in our maintenance program and maintain accountability with our coach, are keeping weight off and learning what foods to eat for their body.

    Are supplements recommended?

    Yes, we recommend supplements to support the weight loss process to maximize results. We treat the whole body to ensure you are getting in all the necessary nutrients to achieve optimum health.
